Pension Barbakan is a wonderful place to stay. The rooms are attractive and very comfortable. Several of the rooms have a view of the river. The location is excellent and the breakfast, which is included, was very good. We enjoyed our stay (in May, 2004) very much.

We stayed at Pension Barbakan for two days in 2004. It was the best place we stayed on our entire two-week tour of the Czech Republic. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and nicely decorated (unlike the cookie-cutter chain hotels that litter the United States) and the breakfast was above average. If we ever return to Cesky Krumlov, Pension Barbakan will get our business.

This place is now owned by the pension next door. We had booked with Pension Barbakan but stayed next door which we were glad. We upgraded to room with a river view and left the windows open at night. Nice! Quiet and enjoyed the view. Everything was great. It was convenient to be able to park right in front. Right across the short bridge of the Old Town, a couple minute walk.

I am very happy with my stay here. Pension barbakan is located right on the entrance of CK, perfect location. Room is wooden decoration which look sweat and calm. Sad that their restaurant is under renovation, so did not have chance to try.We booked ticket in early morning, so we can't have breakfast. They are nice to prepare our breakfast a day before, so that we can bring it to eat on the way.I will book here again, if I come back to CK.
